Founded in 2005 by Daniel J. Rice III, Rice Energy is the culmination of Dan's 30 years of experience advising and investing in successful oil and gas companies. Rice Energy’s goal to deliver superior results is founded on the belief that unconventional reservoirs provide the most economic returns when properly understood and hydraulic fracturing is the determining factor of success. The company’s management and technical team has a track record of finding these unconventional reservoirs and exploiting their full potential by applying advanced fracturing and completion techniques. Rice Energy is actively involved in the Marcellus Shale in Pennsylvania.
